Hi, I'm Nat

I'm a writer. I currently do all of my writing in two newsletters:

Infinite Play is focused on Life & Philosophy. It's my attempt to eventually create at least one or two pieces of writing good enough to last after I die.

And CryptoNat is my more technical newsletter focused on crypto (especially gaming).

I used to write about a lot of other topics on this site, but that feels like a different phase of life now. You can find those articles archived here. Though some of the best writing is in my old newsletter, which I sent every Monday from May 2016 to May 2022.

I've also published my notes from 250+ books, articles, and speeches in case you want to check those out.

Finally, I am easiest to reach on Twitter. Say hi there if you enjoy any of my work in the places above.

"As a longtime newsletter creator, I'm also a newsletter "connoisseur" and subscribe to 50+ newsletters. A tiny sliver of those make it to my "must read list" and Nat's Medley is high on that list. The newsletter is consistent in its ability to delight me, with a provocative piece that I would have missed or a business tactic to help me scale RadReads. I highly recommend this newsletter to entrepreneurs, creators, executives — and anyone who digs intelligent and unique ideas."

Though it's definitely led me to some useful insights and learnings so I guess it evens out."

I find myself forwarding the Monday Medley to a (different) friend each week, as the breadth of great topics is so wide."

Andreas M

"Nat's Medley is one of the 3 newsletters that I'm signed up to - because it actually delivers interesting and useful information, instead of just producing content for content's sake. His views sometimes radical and he represents them with full integrity. And he clearly researches a TON for the Medley. I always save them for a time when I actually have the mental capacity to go through them and process the snippets. Love it."

Balint Korosi

"I would say that your mind somehow resonates with me, I do enjoy researching and learning similar topics as you discuss in the Medley, mostly business and health wise. All in all, staying curious is a big advantage nowadays."

Robertas Voroneckis

"I took a job out of high school at IBM before going to university – in 1989. I had email and instant messaging on a mainframe called WARVM5 (Warwick in England, Virtual Machine 5). After my undergrad I got a job at Goldman Sachs, and was one of the first people to get email, in 1994. It is incredible to think that before that, all internal communication was by paper memo, and voicemail. (For example, if you made an error that resulted in a profit or loss, you had to leave a voicemail for the partners taking responsibility and outlining steps to address the issue). Within a few years, we were deluged by email, and it absorbed a huge percentage of our time. People generally either filed nothing, or everything. (I adopted David Allen’s Getting Things Done in Microsoft Outlook). Search tools back then were appalling, so filing nothing was hardly an option – until x1 search came along, which changed everything for me. Wind forward to 2021, I have left my finance career and am training as a coach & legal mediator, so I don’t have to suffer an employing organisation’s email disfunction. Much of what I read I pull from various sources – Twitter, Pocket, websites, etc. I get a very limited amount of news and information pushed to me, (partly because I still aim for inbox-zero). Your email is one of those push sources. It is perfectly judged for frequency, length, and strike rate of interesting content – as a result I read it from start to finish each week. There is much to provoke my thought process and to explore."

Tim Johnston

"I didn't know I could get this excited for Mondays. Nat not only summarizes interesting topics tremendously well, the content itself is so relevant I often can't help but dive deeper and click on 3-4 articles to learn more."

Luke Walquist

"One of the few emails that I genuinely look forward to reading, and finding out what Nat has unearthed each week!"

Sam Neter

Matthew Berry

"I've been following the Monday Medley for the last few months and it's one of those emails that I enjoy opening in my inbox; I really love the fact it talks about a wide range of interesting topics (that usually wasn't picked up by my other news channels) and is brief, allowing me to quickly skim over it and read what sparks my interest."

Aazar Shad

"Each issue of the Monday Medley is a carefully curated assortment of insightful stories pertaining to emergent trends at the intersection of business, technology and society (along with a quirky practical tip or two). It has a very high signal-to-noise ratio and I never miss an issue — even if that means combing back through my email inbox to find an occasional one that didn't get opened."

Vahagn H

Andrew

"The Monday Medley every time provides me with an interesting food for thought, and more often than not it provides me with new perspectives. Nothing more I could ask for from a piece of content."

Lukas Steib

"Nat’s Monday Medley just the ticket to start the week. Thoughtful, provocative and helpful. Very helpful. Can’t beat it!"

Roy Cook

"I love the Medley and [Nat's] content in general. My favorite parts are: The "counter-intuitive" content that makes me think outside the box (example: landfills being, arguably, more eco-friendly/sustainable than recycling) and all things fitness/health that Nat shares. I feel like he has a fun, fair, and balanced approach to learning these things and sharing."

Joseph Carroll

"Nat's newsletter is outstanding. My Inbox is filled with non-sense, ranging from discounts at online stores that I've never shopped at to Todoist sending me daily reminders of my never-ending to-do list. But within all this noise, Nat's newsletter really stands out and is a joy to read through every week!"

Aryan Yadav

"Love the eclectic collection of articles across different domains as well as the accompanying commentary, one of the few I look forward to each week."

"I'm enjoying it. Sometimes the whole newsletter might be too much to read so I'll just pick a sentence/link that looks interesting and take a look at that."

Samuel Gracida

"Lately I've been saying that curation is the new creation. There is now noise than ever online Nat does a great job narrowing down what is important to real into an easy to enjoy digest. Must read for anyone interested in technology, personal development, and wellness."

Mike Smith

"Its the tone of language and ease of reading…your mailer reads like a mini series of shower thoughts and sounds like listening to a chitchat over an afternoon coffee."

Cassandra

"The most unique newsletter I subscribe to. Always an interesting mix of topics including business, science, life, and food. Nat has unbiased views and great commentary on articles and research topics."

Steve R

"This isn't one of those newsletters I just skim through. I read every line (sometimes twice) and always take away great info, concepts, or even ways to think. This is great for ANYONE in business and there's else nothing like it. Great job Nat!"

"I read Nat’s Medley every time I get back from elementary school, and you may be asking why is a 11 year old reading newsletters? It’s because the emails are so enjoyable to read and he actually takes the time to make it look good. He organizes it in a way that stands out from the rest. Keep up the Videos on your YouTube channel and by the way he didn’t pay me to say this."
