Hi, I'm Nat

I'm a writer. Infinite Play is my newsletter focused on Work, Happiness, Money, and general life Philosophy.

I'm also currently writing a book, slated for late 2024, about the crypto mania from 2020 - 2022.

I used to write about a lot of other topics on this site, but that feels like a different phase of life now. You can find those articles archived here. Though some of the best writing is in my old newsletter, which I sent every Monday from May 2016 to May 2022.

I've also published my notes from 250+ books, articles, and speeches in case you want to check those out.

And I've released a few courses here over the years.

Finally, I am easiest to reach on Twitter. Say hi there if you enjoy any of my work in the places above.

"As a longtime newsletter creator, I'm also a newsletter "connoisseur" and subscribe to 50+ newsletters. A tiny sliver of those make it to my "must read list" and Nat's Medley is high on that list. The newsletter is consistent in its ability to delight me, with a provocative piece that I would have missed or a business tactic to help me scale RadReads. I highly recommend this newsletter to entrepreneurs, creators, executives — and anyone who digs intelligent and unique ideas."

It’s because the emails are so enjoyable to read and he actually takes the time to make it look good. He organizes it in a way that stands out from the rest. Keep up the Videos on your YouTube channel and by the way he didn’t pay me to say this."

"I love the Medley and [Nat's] content in general. My favorite parts are: The "counter-intuitive" content that makes me think outside the box (example: landfills being, arguably, more eco-friendly/sustainable than recycling) and all things fitness/health that Nat shares. I feel like he has a fun, fair, and balanced approach to learning these things and sharing."

Gavin Lyall

"I work in demand generation and I appreciate how the Medley combines articles and trends that are relevant to my career, while also acknowledging that there is a world outside of the buzzwords and the metrics. The work we do online doesn't happen in a vacuum, and the Medley acknowledges that by combining happenings in the digital world with whats going on in the world around us."

Matthew Berry

"Great newsletter. With the amount of information that is out there, it is extremely useful to have the tools to dilute the information you receive fast and efficiently (getting everything of use out of it). This newsletter is a perfect example of information dilution that works effectively. It's the goldilocks equivalent of newsletters. Not too much information, not too little information, it's just right."

Elmer Hoogland

"The Monday Medley is easily the most interesting and fun to read newsletter I receive. Every week has great content, thought-provoking links, and cool insights."

Michael Rizzo

I wasn’t receiving his newsletter for a while. I reached out to his team to put me back on. That much I look forward to it."

Aazar Shad

Robertas Voroneckis

"I took a job out of high school at IBM before going to university – in 1989. I had email and instant messaging on a mainframe called WARVM5 (Warwick in England, Virtual Machine 5). After my undergrad I got a job at Goldman Sachs, and was one of the first people to get email, in 1994. It is incredible to think that before that, all internal communication was by paper memo, and voicemail. (For example, if you made an error that resulted in a profit or loss, you had to leave a voicemail for the partners taking responsibility and outlining steps to address the issue). Within a few years, we were deluged by email, and it absorbed a huge percentage of our time. People generally either filed nothing, or everything. (I adopted David Allen’s Getting Things Done in Microsoft Outlook). Search tools back then were appalling, so filing nothing was hardly an option – until x1 search came along, which changed everything for me. Wind forward to 2021, I have left my finance career and am training as a coach & legal mediator, so I don’t have to suffer an employing organisation’s email disfunction. Much of what I read I pull from various sources – Twitter, Pocket, websites, etc. I get a very limited amount of news and information pushed to me, (partly because I still aim for inbox-zero). Your email is one of those push sources. It is perfectly judged for frequency, length, and strike rate of interesting content – as a result I read it from start to finish each week. There is much to provoke my thought process and to explore."

Tim Johnston

Jeff Doehler

"In a world where each of us is over-saturated with information, good curation is invaluable. Nat's Monday Medley is the single best newsletter that aggregates really interesting internet content across many topics— food, health, tech, business, and much more. It's one of the few newsletters I read diligently each week."

Myles Snider

"One of my favorite things about Monday Medley is the range of stuff covered, from latest psychological studies to trends in investments. What isn’t covered (thank God) is “what Nat’s listening to this week” or “Nat’s favorite tea.”"

Stacey Morris

"Your Monday Medley is informative and fun to read. While I enjoy the updates regarding content marketing as well as your new coffee/tea shop business, the wide range of what's going on in different aspects of the world is also very interesting. I look forward to the Medley every week."

His views sometimes radical and he represents them with full integrity. And he clearly researches a TON for the Medley. I always save them for a time when I actually have the mental capacity to go through them and process the snippets. Love it."

I found newsletters to be a way that saves me a ton of time by curating the fire hose that is online content! Nat's Monday Medley is one of my favorites. It's a good blend of different, interesting topics. His design is also better and easier to read than most (not giant blocks of text, more scannable). I'd highly recommend it!"

Nathan Epemolu

"Out of the hundreds of newsletters I have subscribed to (and cancelled), yours just sticks. It's the honesty with which you share that makes it both useful and compelling.
